Methodology
Severd publishes community-reported layoff incidents after human moderation. Labels describe corroboration — they are not independently verified facts.
Trust labels
At least one approved supporting report
One moderated community report supports this incident. This is a starting signal, not independent verification.
Two or more independent supporting reports
Multiple independently submitted, approved reports describe the same incident. Community votes never create this status.
A moderator override
Credible conflicting information exists. This label takes precedence over the others until the dispute is resolved.
Upvotes and downvotes are anonymous community signals only. They do not prove an incident occurred and do not verify a reporter's identity.
Anyone can submit a report anonymously. Moderators review each submission before it becomes public and can approve, reject, dispute, or merge duplicate reports.
Pending and rejected reports, moderator notes, and internal signals are never shown publicly.
